Celebrate an extra special opening on Saturday, May 2, 2026 to celebrate the One Year Anniversary of Orleans Gallery!

Orleans Gallery is proud to present "Her Way, His Way," a landmark exhibition placing the work of Andrew LaMar Hopkins in conversation with that of Clementine Hunter, one of the South's most revered folk artists.

Curated by Alison M. Gingras, the show presents works by Clementine Hunter, from the personal collection of the leading expert on her life, side by side with Andrew LaMar Hopkins' artistic interpretation of her paintings and legacy.

Join us for live music by Kermit Ruffins and Irvin Mayfield at 5:30, Grammy Nominee J'wan Boudreaux and his Mardi Gras Indian band Thee Storm, and other surprise musical guests; light refreshments; and to meet the artists behind these incredible shows.

May 2026 Gallery Openings | The ORIGINAL First Saturday Art Walk

5-8 pm on Julia Street & the immediate surrounding area

The ORIGINAL First Saturday Art Walk, a monthly event founded by Arts District New Orleans, will take place on the FIRST SATURDAY in May. The Arts District's monthly Art Walk will take place on Saturday, May 2nd from 5-8 pm. The galleries and museums of ADNO are open all day, with opening receptions from 5-8 pm. Individual gallery and museum hours may vary.
