Cambria Hotel New Orleans located at 632 Tchoupitoulas Street presents a series of works by artist Nurhan Gokturk. The collection entitled Cityscapes is a sequence of original ink and watercolor depictions of New Orleans neighborhoods captured on canvas. The compilation includes some of city’s most iconic institutions such as Willie Mae’s Restaurant and the famous music venue Tipitina’s. The artist captures the cultural matrix of a city steeped in history and textured with the unique architectural elements that define our diversity.
Cityscapes is the first of three art installations planned this year at Cambria Hotel New Orleans. The exhibit is the result of a partnership with Where Y’Art, an initiative dedicated to connecting artists of all mediums to a wider audience while making art approachable and more accessible to the public.
