Founded by the Arts District New Orleans (ADNO), White Linen Night will involve the 14 contemporary art galleries and local restaurants that together form the Arts District. As they have in years past, the business will participate in White Linen Night this year, albeit with strict social distancing and mask mandate measures in place. Folks are also encouraged to wear their freshest white linen outfits to keep tradition alive.
“White Linen Night has been part of the Arts District calendar for 26 years,” says Leslie Claire Spillman, ADNO President. “While we cannot welcome thousands of people to Julia St. to enjoy the art in our galleries this year, ADNO is excited to safely welcome guests back to the galleries for our month-long White Linen Light.”
The online portion of White Linen Night is comprised of digital auctions, each of which runs for two weeks (August 1 – August 15 and August 15 – August 31, respectively). Those interested in seeing the works included in the auction may do so at participating galleries or online, here. The first auction goes live at 10 a.m. Central tomorrow, August 1.
