LeMieux Galleries is pleased to present an exhibition this fall for Phil Sandusky. The show starts on September 26th, with a reception with the artists during Art for Arts’ Sake on October 3rd, from 5-9 PM with live music by the Silver Lining Serenaders. The exhibition is on view through October 31st, 2026.

LeMieux Galleries’ is open Monday-Saturday from 10:00AM-5:00PM.Phil Sandusky – A Plein Air Journal of Uptown New Orleans is the artist’s first solo exhibition at LeMieux Galleries. The exhibition features the signature work of Phil Sandusky, plein air cityscapes and landscapes of our beloved city. He aims to explore areas often overlooked by artists, but that are every bit as beautiful as the other more touristed parts of town.

Sandusky’s intimate portraits speak directly to his fellow long term residents and offer visitors a truer vision of the breadth and depth of the city.

Phil Sandusky is based in New Orleans, Louisiana— a resident since 1984. His work has been celebrated both nationally and internationally, appearing in collections like New Orleans Museum of Art, Louisiana State Museum and Historic New Orleans collection. He earned his B.A. in Physics allowing his dual interest with art to add understanding of vision beyond the antiquated talk of optics, lights and perspective. Sandusky values education, on top of his prolific art output, he teaches landscape, figure and portrait and has published numerous books about his painting, more notably Painting Katrina from 2006.
